PMI foam rubber:

Also known as sponge rubber. a vulcanized rubber having a sponge-like porous structure. There are openings, closed holes, mixed holes and micro holes. Can be made into soft rubber or hard rubber products. Light weight, soft, elastic, and difficult to transfer heat. It has the functions of shockproof, gentle shock, heat insulation and sound insulation. Made of synthetic rubber, it also has the characteristics of oil resistance, aging resistance and chemical resistance. Widely used in the automotive, aircraft, chemical, commodity and other industries, as insulation, sound insulation, shockproof materials, as well as seat cushions, mattresses, medical machinery, hygiene products, sporting goods and so on. A foaming agent (such as ammonium carbonate, urea, azobisisobutyronitrile, etc.) or a concentrated latex may be added to the raw rubber by bubbling into the air and then vulcanizing.

Plastic foam:

It is a chemical material, the full name of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS). Due to its light weight, firmness, shock absorption, low moisture absorption, easy molding and good water resistance, heat insulation and low price, it is widely used in the fields of packaging, heat preservation, waterproof, heat insulation and shock absorption. One of the most widely used plastics in the world. It can be applied to shockproof packaging of electrical appliances, instrumentation, handicrafts and other delicate and valuable items, as well as packaging of fast food.

Difference: composed of different materials, with different characteristics and application range.
